She was predeceased by : her parents, George Carter and Martha Carter (Fields); her husband James Max Schweitzer; her sister Sandra Montney; her brother-in-law Lawrence Montney; and her son-in-law Thomas Bost.

She is survived by : her children, Brenda Bost, Kenda Winkler (Rob) and Linda Hart (George); her grandchildren, Tara Hart (Peyton Miller), Derek Cascarelle (Lindsay), Staci Sansone (Pete), Kevin Winkler (Levi) and Kris Winkler; her great grandchildren, Steven Sansone, Anthony Sansone and Andrew Sansone; and her sister Clarice Engelhart (Jack). She is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, May 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Homes - Clio Chapel (503 N Mill St, Clio, MI 48420). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bethany United Methodist Church (353 E Vienna St, Clio, MI 48420).

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
