She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Schanick and Marion Schanick (Gardner); her husband Donald Thorsby Sr.; her brother Elmer "Woody" Schanick; her daughter-in-law Ronda Thorsby; and her niece Betsy Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie Thorsby (Rose), Tina Waites (Mark), Penny Lagalo (David McGrath) and Timothy Thorsby (Lorrie); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, Timmie, Tony, Latrisha, Christopher, Jeremy, Kristi, Jason and Tyler; and her close friends, Kathy, Shannon, Eric, Shirley, Colette and Lucille.
