He was predeceased by : his father Albert Thompson; his wife Kathy Thompson; his sister Marcy Sims; and his nephews, Joshua, Jacob, Tommy and Grant.

He is survived by : his mother Valeria Izzo (Adkins); and his sisters, Melissa Henke, Mary Hopkins (Gary), Melanie Owens (Eddie), Ronda Owens and Tammy Bartow.
