He is survived by: his wife Dorlene Nielson; his children, Ryan Nielson (Amy) and Kristy Amy (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Tristan Nielson, William Nielson II, Alexandria Claveau, Sara Minard, Nate Amy (Brittney), Bray Amy, Blake Amy and Makenzie Hatton (Shane); his siblings, Ron Nielson (Shirley), Doug Nielson (Yvonne), Kay Alderson (Doug) and Debbie Bryant (Matt); and his sister-in-law Barb Nielson.
