He was predeceased by: his parents, Orson Smith and Ollie Smith; his son Jason A. Smith; and his brother Rodney "Neal" Smith. He is survived by: his wife Margaret M. Ponger; his sons, Ronald Smith (Catherine) and Jeffrey Smith (Amy Tunney); his grandchildren, Thomas Smith, Jared Smith (Bethanie Brown), Dana Braun, Michael Braun and Delaney Tunney; and his siblings, Sandra Blackburn, Judith Smith (William), Janice Smith (Kenneth), Jeffrey Smith (Verna) and Jennifer Varney (Jack). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
