It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bente Lieng Howe of Coldwater, Michigan, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bente Lieng Howe to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Erling Lieng and Solbjorg Lieng (Enga); her brother Trygve Lieng; and her grandson Dakota Smith. She is survived by : her husband Gary L. Howe; her children, Daniel Speaker, Jr., Cindy Scharns (Al) of Battle Creek, Leslie Lamb of Springfield, Cheryl Kellogg (Mark) of DeWitt and Becky Smith (Larry) of Auburn, IN; and her brother Jon Tore Lieng (Ada) of Trondheim, Norway. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Branch Area Food Pantry or the Christian Service Center in Gulf Shores, AL.
