He was predeceased by: his parents, William Leavitt and Ardella Leavitt (Jetmore); and his siblings, William Leavitt, Jr., Doris Leavitt, Charles Leavitt and Ronnie Leavitt.

He is survived by: his wife Faye Leavitt; and his brother Harold Leavitt (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
