Carolyn Irene Dantes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Irene Dantes of Coldwater, Michigan, who passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Skalmusky and Vivian Skalmusky (Bevers); her son Greg Pothoof; her stepson Toby Dantes; and her sister Mary.
She is survived by: her husband Neal Dantes of Quincy, MI; her children, Larry "Bud" Pothoof, Jr. of Coldwater, MI, Brett Pothoof (Jennifer) of Holland, MI, Erik Dantes (Jenny) of Kalamazoo, MI and Wendy (Gary); her siblings, Marva Ohman (Chuck) of Kaukauna, WI, Linda Mavrinac (Bill) of Tucson, AZ and Gary Skalmusky (Chan) of Kaukauna, WI; her grandchildren, Jayden Pothoof (Gena Mack), Ryan Pothoof, Brenna Pothoof (Aaron Holstege), Tyler Pothoof (Elisia), Justin Pothoof, Abby Dantes (Anthony), Lydia Dantes and Jillian Dantes; and her great grandchildren, Cerys, Sunni Bo and Pine Pothoof. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dutcher Funeral Home (440 W Chicago St, Coldwater, MI 49036). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Marks Episcopal Church (27 E Chicago St, Coldwater, MI 49036).
