He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Porter and Wanda Porter (Stickan); and his nephew Brian Porter. He is survived by: his brothers, Larry Porter and Garry Porter (Pam); his nephews, Tim Porter (Lynn), Tom Porter (Lana) and Todd Porter (Samantha); his niece Amy VanAken (Ryan); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Philip Porter, Alyson Monaco (Trey), Emma Porter, Evan Porter, Mya Porter, Rylie VanAken, Laynie VanAken and Carly VanAken; Raydon.
