She was predeceased by: her parents, Omar J. Mettler and Leone H. Mettler (Jordan); her husband Bernard Rurka; and her sisters, Mary Lee Mettler and Irene Cowan.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Rider, Laura Rurka, Richard Rurka (Karen) and Karen Hughes (Joseph); her grandson Lucas Rider (Erin); her children, Jordan Rider (Kellie), Zackeriah Rurka, Eric Rurka, Nicole Morrison, Michelle Leskow (Andrew), Anthony Rurka (Nisha), Deven Blanchard, Sarah Hughes, Alliane Brennan (Derek) and Meagan Hughes; her great grandchild Jaden Rurka; and her grandchildren, Jacob Rurka, Ryker Morrison, Camden Morrison, Emmalynne Rider, Shiroe Rurka, Sadie Brennan, Dalton Brennan and Lillian Knutson. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dutcher Funeral Home (440 W Chicago St, Coldwater, MI 49036). A rosary was held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary of Assumption Church (602 W Chicago St, Bronson, MI 49028).
Memorials may be directed to the Maple Lawn Activities Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
