He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Roby and Mina Roby (Stanley); his sisters, Alice Roby, Mabel White and Helen Frank; his grandson Corey McCurley; and his son-in-law Terry Halstead.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Roby; his children, David Roby (Mary) of Denton, Sherri Halstead of Coldwater, Daniel Roby (Valerie) of Fremont and Karen McCurley (Hal) of Coldwater; his sister Dorothy Rosenberry of Climax; and his grandchildren, Brandon Halstead, Amanda Halstead, Ryan Roby, Danielle Roby and Sarah Waltke. He is also survived by his 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
