She was predeceased by : her parents, Louis Zuidema and Mildred Zuidema (Russert); her husband Walter A. Kerkstra; her son Paul Kerkstra; and her sisters, Marilyn Spruce and Evelyn Demonbruen.

She is survived by : her daughters, Karen Eyster of Coldwater and Virginia Perez (Ernie) of Fort Worth, TX; her grandchildren, Michael Shiery, Bradley Shiery, Mindy Smith and Jason Eyster; and her great grandchildren, Tristan and Delilah. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church of Coldwater.
