He is survived by: his parents, Robert D. Young and Patricia Young (Scott); his daughters, Bethany Young (Andrew Vowels) of Gaylord and Kathryn Young of Lansing; his sister Robyn Kahrs (Alan) of Muskegon; and his nephews, Christopher Kahrs and Justin Kahrs (Shea (Nicely) Vowels) of Lansing.

A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dutcher Funeral Home (440 W Chicago St, Coldwater, MI 49036).
