He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Grohalski and Georgia Grohalski (Rozevicz); his wife Linda D. Penrod; and his brothers, George Grohalski and Mike Grohalski.

He is survived by: his brother James Grohalski (Sharon) of Elkhart, IN; his niece Deanna Seals of Quincy; and his nephew Robert Carpenter of Byron Center.
