He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alfred and Marguerite Milnes (Shattuck); his brother John Milnes; his brothers-in-law, Lee VanStone, Dean Dygert and James Baggerly; his parents-in-law, Leon and Joyce Baggerly; and his great grandchildren, Isaac Mainzinger and Holden McCrumb.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanie; his daughters, Mary Osborne of Coldwater and Beth Karney; his grandchildren, Jacob Osborne (Kennedy), Megan Mainzinger (Paul), Andrew Karney (Julia), Nathan Karney (Bree), Gabrielle Milnes (Alex) and Avery Milnes (Chris); his stepgrandchildren, Quinn McCrumb (Jaimie), Devin McCrumb (Abi) and Shayli McCrumb; his sister Marguerite "Molly" VanStone; and his sisters-in-law, Fae Ewalt (Dale), Anita Milnes, JoAnn Dygert and Rose Baggerly. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dutcher Funeral Home (440 W Chicago St, Coldwater, MI 49036). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church (27 E Chicago St, Coldwater, MI 49036).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Mark's Episcopal Church Endowment Fund.
