He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Byrd and Ola Mae Byrd; his wife Nora Janice; his children, Tracy Baltazar (Joe) of Watervliet, Angie Valdez of Coloma, Donald Byrd (Shannon) of Watervliet and Brandon Byrd (Kira) of Sharpsburg, GA; and his brothers, Terry Byrd (Natalie) of Watervliet and Ricky Byrd of Joplin, MO.
