He was predeceased by: his father Jean Pastirko (Dunck); his stepfather Joseph Pastirko; his brother Thomas Gilbert; and his niece Juli Woolford. He is survived by: his wife Denise Maritt; his children, Camille Wilson, Cory Gilbert (Mia) and Matthew Gilbert (Mandy); and his grandchildren, Sierra Gilbert, Fern Gilbert, Dane Wilson, Elizabeth Gilbert, Trinity Gilbert, Robert Jones, Katelyn Jones and Emily Jones.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schipper Funeral Home (308 S Blackstone Ave #9340, Colon, MI 49040). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
If desired the family suggest memorials be made in memory of Jerry to Leonidas Township Fire Department.
