It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. VanWinkle of Colon, Michigan, born in Pontiac, Michigan, who passed away on August 25, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard VanWinkle and Catherine VanWinkle (Bailey); and his brother Marc. He is survived by : his wife Marlyn J. VanWinkle of Colon; his children, Walter VanWinkle (Marcy) of Sturgis, Jon VanWinkle of Marshall and Susan Lijewski (Rick) of Portage; his grandchildren, Kathryn, Andrew, Scott, Morgan, Nicholas and Emily; and his siblings, Lon VanWinkle, Mary Gretchen Skelonc and Steve VanWinkle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
