He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Rex, Margaret Blashfield (Crandall), Hazen and Beatrice Heselschwerdt (Root). He is survived by: his parents, Paul Blashfield and Mary Blashfield (Heselschwerdt); and his siblings, Derrek Blashfield (Melisa Burke), Holly Blashfield and Marty Blashfield (Shannon Landis).
From 2019 to 2021, Mickey Blashfield served as President and CEO of the Michigan Trucking Association in Lansing, during the critical era of the Covid 19 pandemic and the resulting logistics hurdles.
