He was predeceased by : his wife Maxine E. Horvath. He is survived by : his children, Donna Mahieu (Eric), John L. Horvath (Kimberly), Emily Horvath and Gregory Horvath (Breanne); his grandchildren, Leslieanne Seekell (Alexander), Erin Payton (Zachary), Devon Kessler (Kyle), Kayla Horvath, John D. Horvath, II, Morgan Horvath, Keagan Horvath and Aedan Horvath; and his great grandchildren, Piper, Ryder, Briar, Daxon Seekell and Seth Kessler.
