He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John Freel and Agnes Freel (Krzewina); and his brothers, Barney, Jerome (Yvonne), Thomas (Janie), Michael (Carol), Leon (Judy), George, John, Don and Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Peggy Woolard (Bill), Mark Freel (Kate), Dan Freel (Judy), Peter Jr. Freel (Chris) and Karen Zerbe (Ben); his grandsons, Nathan and Daniel Woolard; his children, Veronica, Zachary (Sheryl), Grace Freel, Morgan and Brayden Zerbe; his siblings, Charles Freel (Carol Ann), Mary Green (Les) and Patricia Hill (Larry); and his sisters-in-law, Louise Freel, Shirley Freel, Terry Freel and Kathy Freel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
