It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert W Phillips of Commerce Township, Michigan, born in Saint Charles, Virginia, who passed away on May 20, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Green Phillips and Perdie Phillips; his wife Stella Phillips; his siblings, Ed, Ralph Phillips, Helen Bowling and Nada Shelby; and his son-in-law Danny James.

He is survived by : his children, Helen Sue Faber (Larry), Iris V Hammerstrom, Tina R Steitzer (Wendell) and Gidget M James; and his grandchildren, Heath, Marcus, Rusty Faber, Jesse, Jestine, Levi Taulbee, Fawn, Stephanie, Thor Hammerstrom, Willow Hiscock (Zach), Destiny James, Skyler James (Kendra) and Drift James. He is also survived by his 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home (1233 Union Lake Rd, White Lake Charter Township, MI 48386).
