He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Thome and Irene Thome; and his brother Mark. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Barman; his children, Dennis Thome (Leah), Steve Thome (Missy), Patty Woodhouse (John) and Jeanne Wahlfield (Joe); his grandchildren, Sarah, Marissa, Megan (Mark), Mitch, Jill, Colleen, Brie (Josh) and Darren; his great grandchildren, Meredith, Marleigh, Macklyn and Elise; and his caregiver Dawn Robinson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beuschel Funeral Home (5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321). A rosary was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1200 Alpine Church Rd NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321).
