He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Getter and Wanita Getter (Kemper); his daughter Debra "Debbie" Howell; his former wife Jeannie Getter; his brother Larry Getter; and his stepson Craig Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Getter; his son-in-law Tom Howell; his stepsons, Chris Payne (Cindy) and Tim Payne (Patty); his grandchildren, William Howell, Jeannie Howell, Taylor Howell, Jesse Payne (Jessica), Sarah Haddon (David) and Alex Payne; his great grandchildren, Justice Payne, Braxley Haddon and Brantley Haddon; his siblings, Ruth Peters (Mark), Roger Getter (Mary) and Allen Getter (Lana); and his sister-in-law Fran Getter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
