He was predeceased by: his children, Gary McCourtie and Kathleen McCourtie; his grandson Colin Smith; and his brothers, Dick McCourtie and Jack McCourtie.
He is survived by: his wife Julie; his children, Terry Wasielewski, Kurt McCourtie (Karen), Wendy Brzezinski (Steve), Tim Schultz and Stephen McCourtie (Ryen); his brother Steve McCourtie (Driscilla); his siblings-in-law, Virginia McCourtie and Paul Brown (Pam); and his former wife Leah McCourtie. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren.
