He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Holtrop and Marjorie Holtrop (Langlois); and his brother-in-law Richard Partridge. He is survived by: his spouse Jan Holtrop; his children, James Holtrop (Joy), Jeff Holtrop (Midge), Laura LaFave (Arthur), Patrick Holtrop, Dan Holtrop and Nick Holtrop (Meagan); his sister Dawn Holtrop; and his sister-in-law Vivian Partridge. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Throop Funeral Home (214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404). A rosary was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the McNitt Cemetery (21478 40th Ave, Conklin, MI 49403).
