He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Theodore, Ellen Rottman, Gunnar, Anneliese Hausmann, Bill Huyser, Jim Spaans, Cornie and Hermina VanRoekel.
He is survived by: his wife Katelyn; his daughter Payton; his parents, Ronald Hausmann and Jill Hausmann; his parents-in-law, John and Sheryl VanRoekel; his sister Samantha Komins (Tony); his siblings-in-law, Melinda Emmert (Russ), Nicholas VanRoekel (Brittany), Derek VanRoekel and Luke VanRoekel; his nieces and nephews, Maeve, Emory, Delaney Komins, Erica, Addison, Brooklyn, Kylie, Makayla Emmert, Carter, Brynn, Ashley and Caleb VanRoekel; and his grandmothers, Eva Huyser and Cathy Spaans. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Despite the pandemic, they were able to enjoy a wedding reception in Marne and a honeymoon in Traverse City.
