He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Dyke and Helen Van Dyke (Miller); his grandchildren, Chad Van Dyke and Jessica Schneider; his sisters, Rita Van Dyke and Rose Van Dyke; and his siblings-in-law, Leo Alvesteffer (Dorothy), Bob Alvesteffer (Valerie), Ron Alvesteffer, Gilbert Alvesteffer (Clara), Eleanor Alvesteffer, Agnes Hewitt (Wes) and Roseanne Gross (Stan).
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Van Dyke (Alvesteffer); his children, Fred Van Dyke (Nancy), Norm Van Dyke (Karen), Ron Van Dyke (Brenda), Lynette Lozon (Marty) and Cheryl Lozon (Mark); his sister Jean Maki; and his siblings-in-law, Gerry Malburg, Louise Schaner (Harold), Lornella Faucher, Charlene Birkman, Judy Haight (Harold) and Ralph Alvesteffer. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
