He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Gillespie; his wife Sandie; his granddaughter Halley Gibbons; his brother Bob; and his brother-in-law Dan Norton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sonya Peterson (Loren) and Mary Jo Hibbard Imkamp (Rick); his grandchildren, Kendra Smith, Markes Peterson, Loren III Peterson (Yu-Chi), Ashely Sheffer (Doug), Allison Hibbard and Mariah Coleman; his great grandchild Alexander Lane; his siblings, Alan Gillespie (Faythe) and Kathy Norton; and his sister-in-law Theresa Gillespie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and special friends.
