He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Elliott and Mae Elliott (Hadder); and his siblings, Genevieve Redmond, Celia Clark, Nina Mae Starr, Geraldine Homminga, Weldon "Ace" Elliott, Clesant "Joe" Elliott and Dale Elliott.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Whitsell; his children, Cindy VanDenHeuvel (Scott) of Grand Rapids, Troy Elliott (Mariah) of Montague and Kevin Elliott (Emily) of Sparta; his grandchildren, Devin VanDenHeuvel, Kollin VanDenHeuvel, John Elliott, James Elliott, Levi Elliott, Danielle VanDenHeuvel, Annalise Elliott, Kaila VanderWeele, Evelyn Elliott and Grace Elliott; his siblings, Ethlyn Smith, Karen Kober (Jerry) and Cliff Elliott; and his brother-in-law Steve Whitsell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
