He was predeceased by: his parents, James Strasler and Dorothy Strasler (Wolfe); his daughter Jeanne Nelson; and his siblings, Lawrence Boyd, Vivian Benard, Marion Middaugh, Evelyn Middaugh, Edward Strasler and David Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Joy Clifton of Cooks; his children, Randy Strasler (Kathy) of Escanaba, Janis Groleau (Paul) of St. Jacques, Jewell Hoy (Rodney) of Limestone and Jerri Bliss (Tim) of Sundell; his sisters, Leila Thill of Cooks and Mary Herlik (Robert) of Cooks; his sister-in-law Karen Peterson of Manistique; his son-in-law Allen Nelson; his in-laws, John and Elizabeth LaTulip; and his nephew Keith Middaugh.
