She was predeceased by: her son James Modderman. She is survived by: her husband John Hecksel; her children, JoDee Geldersma (Troy) and Jeff Modderman (Luanne); her daughter-in-law Sue Modderman; and her siblings, Sharon Brown, Marcia La Madeline (Eugene) and John Koning. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
