John Jay Spinner Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of John Jay Spinner of Coopersville, Michigan. John Jay, born on June 17, 1942, passed away on September 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Spinner and Elizabeth Spinner (Brifnek); his siblings, Joseph Spinner, Louise Spinner, Louella Bing, Elizabeth Kurtz, Alfred Spinner and George Spinner; and his great grandchild Kimber "Bug" Denny.
He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Pamela Nietering (Kevin), Melissa Spinner and John Spinner; his grandchildren, Julie Denny (Trevor), Derek Nietering (Samantha), Jared Nietering and Daniel Nietering (Katie); his great grandchildren, Kiley, Karysn Denny, Finnley, Julius and Juniper Nietering; and his sister Mary Lou Terpstra. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many other family members.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ottawa Center Chapel (8991 Leonard St, Coopersville, MI 49404). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Ottawa Center Chapel, where he was a member for 61 years.
