He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Cook and Henrietta Cook (Hutchings); his wife Mildred Mae Cook; his daughters, Ruby Clay and Tina Swiney; and his sister Alice Jubb.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Johnson (John Behm), Terry Swiney, Debra Kay Breese, Diane "Ann" Jabs (Edmund), Daryl Swiney and Wayne Todd Swiney; his sister Donna Borromey (Phil); and his brother-in-law Richard Jubb. He is also survived by many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Nelson-House Funeral Home (120 E Mason St, Owosso, MI 48867). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
