She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Thomas and Elnora Flie (Thompson); her husbands, Clarence Baber and Stanford Simmons; her sons, Harold, William and Wilbert Baber; and her brother Carl Flie.

She is survived by: her children, Doris Aldridge (David) of Magnolia, Delaware, Clarence Baber (Harriett) of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Yvonne Hawkins (Herman) of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jacqueline Laws (Phillip) of Detroit, Michigan, Gwendolyn Stewart of Oak Park, Michigan, Arnold Baber (Lillie Watson) of Covert, Michigan, Michael Baber (Veronica) of Bellville, Michigan and Leonard Simmons (Isabelle) of Covert, Michigan; and her daughters-in-law, Pearl Baber of Detroit and Carol Baber of Covert. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; 37 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
