He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sr. Rood and Edna Rood (Anderson); his wife Gerry; and his siblings, Ann, John, Charlotte, Richard and Phyllis.
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn, Paul III (Susan), Philip and Laura Kao (Cheng); his granddaughters, Addy Kao of Baltimore, MD and Reni Kao of West Lafayette, IN.; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Rood and Colleen Rood; and his caregiver Dawn Minson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Paul's name may be made to First Congregational Church, south Haven or the Michigan State Horticultural Society Trust, 7087 E. Napier Avenue, Benton Harbor, MI.
