She was predeceased by: her husband Dale Filbeck; her sons, Brian, David (Jennifer), Dennis and Paul Filbeck; her parents, Dothyl Kettlewell and Harold Kettlewell; and her siblings, Arnold, Bob, Tom, Jim Kettlewell and Carol Kettlewell.
She is survived by: her son Mark Filbeck (Debbie); her daughter-in-law Sue Filbeck; her grandchildren, Stacey Case (Jason), Brandon Filbeck (Lindsay), Freya and Odin Filbeck; and her siblings, Ralph Kettlewell and MaryLu Webster. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pomeroy Funeral Home - Croswell (6 S Howard Ave, Croswell, MI 48422). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Croswell Presbyterian Church where Joan was a member for many years.
