It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cheryl Ponchaud of Crystal Falls, Michigan, who passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Cheney and Esther Cheney (Benton); her husband Volney "Ponch" Ponchaud; her grandson Anthony Hernandez; and her brother-in-law Jerry Fatturi.
She is survived by: her children, Aaron Ponchaud (Marnie Gilligan) of Crystal Falls, Brad Ponchaud of Lomira, Wisc. and Laurie Hernandez of Crystal Falls, Mich.; her grandchildren, Cody (Meegan), Chase (Angela) and Casey; her sister Susan Francisco (Gene); and her sister-in-law Glenrose Fatturi. She is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home (909 Crystal Ave, Crystal Falls, MI 49920). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
