He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ahola and Lillian Ahola (Johnson); his brother Bob Ahola; his in-laws, Morris and Nancy Heimerl; and his brother-in-law Brad Heimerl.
He is survived by: his wife Pat (Heimerl); his children, Teresa Kudwa (Nathaniel) and Adam Ahola (Becky); his grandchildren, Lauren Kudwa (Sam), Talon Kudwa, Mason Ahola and Reese Ahola; his sister Susan Foley (Frank); and his siblings-in-law, Louise Ahola, Jeff Heimerl (Faye), Peggy Ketola (Phil), JoAnn Heimerl and Diane LaChapelle (Bryan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
