It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Otto Anderson of Daggett, Michigan, who passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Axel Anderson and Eleanor Anderson (Peterson); and his siblings, Harland, Hulda Anderson and Sheila Cruse.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his daughters, Michelle Shampo (Shane Johnson), Aimee Carivou, Jennifer Jolly and Angela Allison (Avery); his grandchildren, Brady, Cheyenne, Brian, Mollie, Cody, Daelynn, Daunte, Brezlin, Isaiah, Maddison, Avianna, Alivia, Adrian and Daxton; his great grandchildren, Amia, Leila, Brielle and Izan; and his siblings, Gladwin Anderson (Dallis), Sheldon Anderson (Patty), Kenny Anderson (Michelle), David Anderson (Shanna), Jason Anderson (Heather) and Beth Davis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
