Barry Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barry Smith of Davison, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Smith and Judith Walker (Carver); his in-laws, Leo and Joyce Mucha; his brother Steven Smith; his sister-in-law Lanette Prutznal; his nephew Kurt Prutznal; his grandmothers, Virginia Lincoln and Gladys Smith; and his uncles, Joe Ticonny, Kenny Crowell and Earl Boyden.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Mucha; his son Grant Steven (Brett Lauren); his grandson Colton John; his siblings-in-law, Denise Hodgkinson (Ed), Leo Mucha (Beth), Michelle Debernardi (Burt Andrews), Andrea Fike (Scott), Terry Prutznal and Victor Debernardi; his sibling's children, Kyle Prutznal (Jennifer), Kevin Prutznal (Jamie), Eric Hodgkinson (Deanne), Paul Hodgkinson (Lisa), Whitney Meerman (Dave), Rachel Reilly (Matt), Lance Mucha, Alexander Leo Debernardi (Kate), Natalie Debernardi, Nicholas Debernardi (Lindsey), Olivia Frambes (Cooper), Lane Fike, Jacob Eastman (Chloe) and Abigail Decker; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Justin (Kate), Franklin (Rachel), Vincent, Morgan (Tristan), Madison, Gabriela, Elizabeth, Alixandrea, Graham, Charlotte, Brayden, Julianna, Annaliese, Lawsyn, Blakely, Finley, Shepard, Miranda and Tyler; his aunts, Peggi Ticonny, Sally Thiede (Bob), Sue Dougherty (Mike), Kathy Shipp (Jerry) and Sherry Boyden; his caregivers, Carrie and Jolene; and also, Kelvin, Theo and Riley. He is also survived by many cousins and countless lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423). A memorial service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
