He is survived by: his children, Debra Palma (Dave), Kendra Goergen (Tom), Craig Ockerman (Michelle), Doug Ockerman (Marsha), Phil Ockerman (Carrie), Carrie Weidenhammer (Chuck) and Lori McKay (Matt); his grandchildren, Kristen Ovadek (Michael), Kimberly Gardiner (Jay), Kellie Ybarra (Reno), Jennifer Wade (Shannon), Eric Goergen (Alissa), Jaime Ockerman, Amy Medley (Brent), Nicole Morse (Eric), Matthew Ockerman (Mollie), Emily Skowronski (Andrew), Katie Shimmons (Monet), Caron Weidman (Joel), Jeffery Ockerman (Naomi), Steven Ockerman (Elen), Nicholas Weidenhammer (Liz), Kyle Weidenhammer (Angie), Megan Brooks (Christopher Pace) and Brent McKay (Megan); his great grandchildren, Michael Ovadek II, Parker Ovadek (Abbie Watchorn), Natalie Ovadek (Collin Webster), Cole, Barrette Gardiner, Tyler Ybarra (Mikayla), Mallorie Ybarra (Riley Henderson), Madyson Ybarra, Timothy Ybarra, Caitlin, Ian Wade, Everett, Nora Goergen, Cameron, Spencer, Isaac, Emerson Morse, Noah, Chloe, Luke Ockerman, Ava Medley, Grant Mitchell, Carolina, Jeffrey Ockerman, Ryker Ockerman, Hannah, Alex, Lydia, Easton Weidenhammer, Bryar, Brynlee Brooks, Finley McKay and Zoe Mrazek; his great great grandchild Oliver Ybarra; and his close friend Kelly DeNicolo.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A rosary was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (404 Dayton St, Davison, MI 48423). Dale was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and prior to COVID, was involved with the funeral luncheon ministry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Devonshire Retirement Village of Lapeer, or The Medical Team.
