It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Robert Bloomfield of Davison, Michigan, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Bloomfield and Helen Bloomfield (Kovacs); his wife Patricia Spence; his son Jeffrey Bloomfield; his granddaughter Micque Bloomfield; and his siblings, Kenny, Grace (Ronald), John (Jeanette), Ray (Lois), Clare (Frieda), Richard (Ann) and Marilyn (Clint).
He is survived by: his children, Mark Bloomfield (Cheryl), Michael Bloomfield (Michelle), Lisa Wagner (Bryan) and David Spaulding (Naomi); his grandchildren, Courtney Bloomfield (Eric Engman), Greg Bloomfield (Kendra), Madelyn Ethridge (Kaleb), Amanda Sparks (Jason), David II Spaulding (Meagan), Curtis Spaulding (Ashlee), Cristy LaJeunesse (Eric) and Jerrid Wagner; his great grandchildren, Olivia Jo, Josephine, Cameron, Gabriel, Jada, Triston, Aspen, Levi, Caroline, Sophia and Lily; his grandchild Kade; and his sister Nina Fenner (Henry).
A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
