He was predeceased by: his stepfather Claude Arnett. He is survived by: his parents, Jimmy Folts (Sharon) and Persis Folts (Kinnish); his wife Shari Griggs; his children, William Folts (Jessica) and Kayleigh Greer (Garret); his grandson Theodore John Folts; and his siblings, Keith Folts, Vicki Abbey (Eric) and Jennifer Jaroma. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Y.W.C.A. of Greater Flint and the Old Newsboys of Flint.
