He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Ferguson and Rosemarie Ferguson (Quaderer); his siblings, Rosemarie Ferguson, Theresa Ferguson, Genevieve "Jenny" Scharrer, Sally Whitney and James Ferguson; and his in-laws, Don Ashworth, Bud Whitney III, Wayne Ellis and Charles McCarter.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Evans; his children, Shawn Hoover (Rod), Chantel Doyle (Dan) and Grant Ferguson; his grandchildren, Tanner Barrett (Lauren), Brielle Doyle, Hudson Doyle and Eleanora Ferguson; his great grandchildren, Elle, Luke and Beau Barrett; his brother-in-law Charles McCarter; his friend Carl Elliott; his siblings, Mary Lou McCarter, Charles Ferguson (Linda), Ann Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson Jr., Richard Ferguson (Susie), Nancy Kus (Phil), Kathryn Ashworth and Lynn Travis (Ken); his in-laws, Steve Scharrer and Tammy Ferguson; and his extended family Kathy Schupp.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Davison Free Methodist Church (502 Church St, Davison, MI 48423).
He was also a proud recipient of the Good Scout Award, recognizing his meaningful contributions to the community.
