He was predeceased by : his grandson Brandon; and his sisters, Eleanor Stovall (late Paul), Elizabeth Samyn (Omer) and Georgina Harvey. He is survived by : his wife Lois; his children, Rae Lynn Harvey, David Harvey (Darlene) and Scott Harvey (Denise); his grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler, Xavier, Taylor, Joshua (Kayla), Logan and Trent; his great grandchildren, Ava, Mason, Noah, Addison, Arlo and Oaklynn; and his siblings, Donald Harvey (late Julie), Della Jolly (late Bob) and Larry Harvey.

“To Captain Harvey's family: I am sorry for your loss, but I know without a doubt he is with our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. My grandmother invited my family, the Schrader's to church, and that is when we met the Harvey family. My parents were very close to Clarence and Lois, my parents names are: Bob and Sue Schrader. At age 11, in 1966, Captain Harvey always had alter calls for salvation, and I went forward and asked Jesus Christ to be my LORD and Savior! Bless the Harvey's in Jesus Christ.”

“Dear Lois and Family, I send you my most heartfelt, sincere condolences. Clarence was a powerful influence in my life. I have thoughts of him nearly every day. I met Clarence through his friend, Ken Bensen, in 2010 when I was succeeding Ken, the founder and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Michigan. Clarence and we immediately developed a deep and meaningful relationship and our friendship grew from there. I’ve always said that I do whatever Clarence tells me to do. I do so because it works! He taught me how to be a friend raiser”
