Melia Spak Obituary
We announce the death of Melia Spak of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 97. Melia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Yargus and Anna Yargus; and her husband Michal Spak. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Phelps (Chris Kurowski) and Annette Kwiat; her son-in-law Darrell Phelps; her grandchildren, Leeann (Chris), Darrell (Ronnie), Justin (Ashley) and Emily; and her great grandchildren, Estella, Vera, Jax, Cosette, Claira, Finley and Ella Nora. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northrop-Sassaman Chapel (19091 Northville Road, Northville, MI 48168). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM. A memorial gathering was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the L. J. Griffin Funeral Home, Northrop~sassaman Chapel (19091 Northville Road, Northville, MI 48168).
