He is survived by : his wife Carol Ann Karas (Pastuschyn); his sons, Stephen Karas (Carol Marie) and Paul Karas (late Karen); and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Antonow, Diane Berkebile and William Pastuschyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews.
