He was loved and cherished by many people including : his siblings, Jacqueline Theisz (Larry) and Michael Miller (Pam); his nephews, David and Cory; his niece Yvonne; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mischa and Ari.

“I remember Steve from his days at Grand Valley. He lived down the hall from me during the 1972-73 academic year. He had a small basketball hoop in his room, with a little nerf ball, and guys, including me, would often stop by and shoot a couple. And I remember what a crowd favorite he was during Grand Valley games. What a great guy--just a gentle, decent human being.”
