He was predeceased by : his wife Isabelle Elizabeth Tackett; his daughter Cheryl Lynn Tackett; his parents, Willard Tackett and Martha Tackett (Dameron); and his siblings, Elmer Wick Tackett, Alna Tackett, Ermon Tackett, Troy Tackett, Mahala Tackett, James Tackett, Mollie Gladas Tackett (Boone), Nellie Tackett (Little), Amos Tackett, Necia Tackett (Gould), Helen Tackett (Batson), Thomas Crit Tackett and Hiriam Tivis Tackett.

He is survived by : his child Tavis Keith Tackett; his sister Eva Glo Tackett (Patterson); his grandchildren, Nicholas Ryan Tackett and Jessica Lynn Tackett; and his great grandchildren, Theodore Fox Tackett, Adalaide Beth Fox Tackett, Camila Lucille DiCerbo and Cassidy Aurelia Grace DiCerbo.
